Photographer Highlight | Sakurako Nagaiwa

  • Selected images from Sakurako Nagaiwa, a photographer from Yokohama, Japan.

Before that she had spent her time in Italy. She wandered the streets of Milan photographing well dressed and fashionable Milano ladies. “My project title is “Signora”, which is an Italian word for “Madam”. I wanted to create a project that could be simple but attractive, while strictly focusing on the Italian fashion culture.”

Her images are indeed fashionable, attractive but at the same time sharp-witted and quirky. She’s able to see the uniqueness of her subjects, even they were little things. “I almost always aim for different color combinations. My inspiration is indeed coming from all the things I see or I feel. Nevertheless, I am everyday researching new stimuli and new favorite things to be inspired from.”
